The Science of Aluminastic
Desired material properties are archived through novel casting and patented processing. For Example: It is well known that increasing silicon in aluminum will increase the wear resistance of the aluminum itself. However if you add silicon into molten aluminum, as it hardens the silicon particles will separate from the micro-structures of the aluminum, leaving a brittle un useable product.
No matter what combination of temperatures or ratios you use the results are always the same. Therefore limits are set on the amount of silicon that can be present in aluminum.
The Aluminastic process allows us to get silicon particles into the aluminum in a way that is evenly mixed and stable, creating a final product that has a higher concentration of silicon which allows us to exceed the commonly acceptable amount, and ultimately providing a superior product.
